This is a very lonely song. Sort of what I considered when I chose it. Death is personal - you can't invite friends along for the ride, if you know what I mean. is not a concert. Just plays the song, no live sound. She has performed in such way, since her first album watermark. Just few performances with live voice sound, but nothing with live instrumentation. Recently she has expressed her wish to do a live concert, so far is difficult to reach the desired sound level. As Nicky Ryan says, must be something perfect, to avoid disappointment between fans.

Yes, this is so unlike the 'mainstream' Enya. I also came to know Enya mainly from songs like Anywhere Is, Only Time etc., which are more, well, atmospheric and picturesque. But this is very beautiful, too. Plus this is the beginning of Enya so this cannot be regarded anything else but the true Enya. Indeed, this was Enya at her very beginning - the Celts (called simply Enya at the time). It somehow suits her and I wish she continued this line in her later works.

I have her album 'Amarantine' and it's pretty good. One of my faves from it is 'The River Sings'. I mean, I like all her stuff.
