I saw WALL-E yesterday with my surround blasting so hard the room was shaking and this movie is AWESOME! Pixar have created a magical movie.. I like OTTO (Auto) who reminds me of HAL hehe.. Wall-E reminds me of E.T... Am I right? Ratatouille is also magical, very funny and very Paris oh la la!

in a way, factories will do that, but this is a secnario if we start making SO much trash, and with the kind of rocket tech demonstrated in the movie, those giant ships could be garbage ships, just send em to the sun.

At 16, I didn't think an animated movie could amuse me so much. Probably the one of the best Pixar movies made; and they're the best. ;)

I LOVED Wall-E! I thought it was a little, well, "an invonvenient truth" Al Gore BS in some parts buts all in all I LOVE Wall-E! I just don't like when they preach to me about the environment.

lovely movie... The expressions by Wall-E are truly touching.. Whether or not robots like these are designable or whether or not the whole earth will become a junkyard, to me, is irrelevant... This is a movie and movies are for entertainment. I don't think anyone of us would run to the movie hall to get a message or hear a prediction abt the future. Wall-E is reasonably realistic to the target audience and entertaining to all .. Well done Pixar

Actually, I, too, enjoyed this movie and found it to be touching (it has many great lessons in it). Nothing against Wall E or the good folks at Pixar, I was merely saying that, IN GENERAL, our youth has become soft. I'm all for imagination. After all, it's imagination that brings forth change and invention. As long as children UNDERSTAND the simple truths of our world and human society at their rudimentary level, let them imagine and play to their hearts' content.

arthur, this movie isn't "teaching" our youth anything, its made purely for their entertainment - also they're KIDS. let them dream while they still can, would you rather have their childhood ruined by the fact that the world is an unforgiving place? i for one really like movie, and found it very touching, if you have anything against it then don't post in the comments

Then what the hell are we supposed to teach them?! That the world is full of evil where people kill each other for no reason and wars are waged where millions of young people die because of selfish and ineffective leaders?! No, I say we do our best to preserve our young people's childhood and let them have as much fun and imagine as much as they wish while they are young. Let a kid be a kid. I guarantee you they aren't thinking about the things you are when watching Wall-E.

I'm just against teaching our youth to believe that the world is an idealistic place where anything and everything is possible and love conquers all evil. It doesn't work that way, and if you go about thinking that it does, you're in for a rude awakening sooner or later. What's more, I also oppose teaching our youth pseudoscience. Robots do not behave like the characters in Wall E, nor will they ever.

Even in the future, robots will not be capable of emotion. Robots do only as humans program them to do. We are far from achieving "artificial intelligence", but even if we do manage to create it, robots will never be capable of "love" Sure, they can be programmed to show physical characteristics of "love", but they are not truly experiencing the emotion. What's more, why would a waste management robot be programmed with these abilities? Sure it's fun for kids, but, come on, its unrealistic.
