Max Payne was a fun game in an interesting format. The story however was weak and predictable. The voice acting wasn't good. Why anyone would think this would turn into a good movie is beyond me. That being said, the story in most FPS is just deplorable. If we're going to pay $50 for a game, shouldn't we have a top notch story and voice acting?

Yeah ? I saw the movie (downloaded HAHAHAH!) and there were cops, drugs (Valkyr) wich Max takes at the end to stay alive, your right though, the story was a bit changed. Example: The one who dies at the end isn't that bitch that ran the company, instead it was Max's friend BB who works at AESIR (the company)

Ausserdem ist es beim Spiel so dass Max durch die Droge Valkyr von seiner getoeteten Familie traeumt (Blutspur folgen). Im Film ist das zwar auch teilweise so kommt aber tausendmal schlechter rueber. Zum Schluss jagt er nicht Nicole Horn wie im Spiel sondern jemand anderen. (tipp jemand der ihn verraten hat)

Der Film ist nicht so wie das Spiel. Jim Bravura ist schwarz statt weiss Sein Kollege Alex wird nicht von Gognitti an der Roscoe Street umgebracht sondern bei sich zuhause. Alfred Woden taucht ueberhaupt nicht auf Vladimir kommt ebenfalls nicht vor (habe den Film schon in englisch gesehen)

I completely disagree - it's very narrow-minded to categorise art in that way. To me, art is about freedom of expression and making the 'user' experience some emotional response. But my interpretation is by no means the 'correct' one either. Games can absolutely be a type of art-form as to me, they can accomplish the above. Games, like movies & music, are primarily meant to entertain but no-one ever said art wasnt allowed to be entertaining. Whether this game is art though, is up to you

I agree with the most part. My only disagreement is, the theme is off and on. The carnival area where you go to meet Mona, I actually loved that scene, where he speaks specifically on-"When entertainment turns into a surreal reflection of your life, you're a lucky man if you can laugh at the joke. Luck and I weren't on speaking terms, or maybe the place was just too damn lame to be funny." If only the game could've maintained that.

Fuck you dude. The movie was awesome, The best video-game adaption made yet. It doesn't matter if it didn't won any award, a movie doesn't have to win a nomination to be good. (but i think it won). It's damn great, people who didn't liked it should give it a chance.

fisrt max payne wuz a good movie, its like the game it borrows form the old school detective movies with a twisting story, and then all the bad ass action is a bonus. i dont think someone could have played payne better than whalberg, second the thought of an entourage movie is fuckin awesome.

I completely agree. i actually left half way through. i had my suspicions when i noticed that it was about demons and angles, but also when the theme was changed from this intro to a Marilyn Manson song. (no offense to him) but they just changed the movie to please audiences, not to please the true fans
