I like the video...I read they were influenced by the "Don't Walk Away" sequence from Xanadu (probably one of the best parts of the movie) and it combined a bit of that with Dragon's Lair/Space Ace...great work by both Bluth and the Scissor Sisters.

A fine band and i like their Eltonesque side- this would fit in nicely with Elton's songs round the time of Don't Shoot Me I'm Only the Piano Player and Goodbye Yellow Brick Road albums. Try his songs here like High Flying Bird and GYBR itself. Anyway, they playfully turn their 70's influences into their own unique brand. Keep up the good work.

wish i had more room but here goes. mary is a common synonym for bud, push over into the (blood) stream, the color green mentioned in an otherwise somewhat random line, stories one wouldn't understand (aka stoner babble), eating/munchies, by far the most obvious is the "head like falling masonary" masonary - stones. falling masonary, stones thrown, or, getting stoned. the puppet machine stuff could be referring to the typical stoner feelings of "rebellion." could go on, but i'm outta room :3

Everybody is comparing Mary Lou to other gymnasts, but is everyone forgetting that this was 1984 and NOT 2008? The scoring was a lot different as well as the skills/difficulty. IMO, Mary Lou was a great gymnast.

the difficulty of a single twisting tsuk is nowhere near a 7 in difficulty. the highest A-score of the olympic 2008 competition in vault was Shawn's 2.5 twisting Yurchenko, at 6.5 A-score. i don't know for sure, but the single twisting tsukahara is maybe a 5 something?

You are right. Szabo's vault gold was a farce. That gold was all Mary Lou's and with a pity gift indeed to the whiny sore losing Szabo. Mary Lou definitely should have left LA with two golds, not just one. Too bad about her mistakes on floor in team optionals and event finals as she was the best tumbler at the meet and floor gold would have been fitting for her too.
