Das Lied istg genial. SO traurig und wunderschön. Das passt zu Bela, genau wie manchmal haben Frauen. Und das Video erst. Dieser Film war der genialste, den ich je gesehen habe. Was man früher hingekriegt hat, erstaunt mich heute noch.

That's what I was about to say. This is meant to be watched in 720x576, DVD res, with no significant compression. It's a 218MB file. You don't catch all that information in a 25MB flash video. This inspired artwork gives me shivers each time I watch it. I wouldn't call it genius (I reserve that word for a few select pieces of classical repertoire, like the Rite of Spring - now that is genius), but awesome, definitely.

I enjoyed that video, but if you use drums of some kind to keep the beat you can increase and decrese the tension. so the blackout parts set up the build up to musical explosion better if the "Blah" parts are filled in with a single constant sound. I just think the music should be progreassive.

I'm not sure if this is correct, but it seems that a common understanding of music is: patterns of noise intentionally made by a consciousness. There are other ieas like in modern art "found art", but I tend to discount that in part because of Aristotle's definition of poetry, which seems applicabe to music as well; the idea of unity. Unity is intentional and therefor a product of the mind. Found art is not a product of the mind and has no unity. Whatever. Yes, this IS music.

I can understand your point, Orionum. I disagree. Music is better when it is enhanced by visual counterpart. The trick is that the visuals must match the music and the music must be good enough to stand on it's own. I think that this song and video succeeds in that regard. So have I, I saw a teacher do it. Its just the wider neck, you get used to the spacing. And thus going back and forwards would throw you off. Plus that smooth rolling sound. You wont get. Yes, I've seen it done on steel. But the nylon just gives the faster movement on the neck since it's wider you can move around a little easier because of the space between strings. And also of course the strings give it a very different sound.

To play the pure flamenco techniques and additionally the rumba you need a classical or a flamenco (more expensive) guitar, and they are indeed equipped with nylon strings on the "higher" strings. These latter are of paramount use to flamenceros because it does not yell/communicate the same flavour as steel strings would. As far as techniques are concerned, you can't play picado with your guitar for instance...even for a basic rumba it won't match. Hope it helps. Cheers.

Well yes even as a Graf fan I see what you are saying. She did mostly beat up on people with nobody at her level, no real rival, not her fault, but when Seles was stabbed her only true rival was gone. Capriati and Hingis are not in Grafs league and not rivals to her. Sabatini never became a real rival to Graf either, she was an underachiever. Sanchez was an overachiever but not quite good enough. So Martina for a bit in the late 80s, then Seles , then pretty much Graf on her own.

An extreme exaggeration to say Graf would have only won 3 or 4 more after 89. Graf had ALREADY won 3 more slams before Seles was even stabbed. You add the 3 Wimbledons she won after Seles was stabbed, the easy ones which she was almost certain to win anyway, and you already up to 6, even before speculating on the others.

yeah Seles would have had probably 15 or 16 slams by now (the Williams, Henin, and whatnot would have been the only things stopping her from winning even more), and Graf would have probably won 3 or 4 after '89....the thing that most Graf fans refuse to believe is that Steffi really didn't have any competition for her titles....partially due to her greatness, but MORESO due to the shitty opposition on the other side of the net...the players she was facing were above average at best.

I, not being a fan of Monica, Steffi or Martina, think that if Monica would not have gotten stab, we would be talkin about her being the greatest that ever played. love both steffi and monica and clearly monica would have won more grand slams and steffi would have won less if the stabbing incident didn't happen. im sure both ladies would have battled it our to see who's the best. it would have been interesting if this happened but unfortunately that psycho robbed tennis of another great rivalry. having said that, i still think that steffi would have eventually come out on top due to her athleticism and speed.
