I can't disagree there. All I would say is that they had/have very good reason to be afraid. Once labeled a "racist," your career is all but over. Now, politicians should never be thinking about career over country, but that's never been the case. It's evident when you consider that the Democrats were once the party to stand in the way of Civil Rights; now, somehow, the role has been reversed and the GOP -Abraham Lincoln's party- is considered the "racist" one. this is exactly how salsa is and its sad that compared to other dances that involve a lot of musicality this dances have became a "sucker for a pattern" everything is about patterns with only a momental and very short interpretation of music. Very sad because the music is much richer then in other types of dances.
