Yes. For example Finland didn't give the Finnish Jews to Hitler.

Finland was Germany's ally, but we weren't like other fascist Axis countries, Finland was democracic state. But yes, Finland was in Axis.

About the PS part. As I said to Sternmann93 :D The continuation war was a revenge war that we started with Germany. Even though we attacked after Russia bombed us. But we provoked them. It was "our fault".

Sorry. Forgot one part of this. Officially Finland wasn't in war with Russia but with the German troops in Finland gave Russia a reason to bomb us. They maybe threw the first aggression but we were the ones preparing for the war thus provoking the USSR. The troops were at the new border ready to attack but we just needed a reason so we wouldn't seem beliggerent. It was a revenge war that Germany gave a possibility to. We gambled and lost. We are lucky enough that we didn't break free in 1991.

Well, russia started the continuation war, we just accepted germany as our allies. When operation Barbarossa started Hitler said in radio that Finland stood at germanys side, this was enough to russia to start an attack against Finland once again. The defensive war turned into a war of agression after the finns crossed the soviet border. Mannerheim had said that take as much ground as fallback-ground if the russians managed to push back the finns.

So to say. But the "revenge war" was not nessecary. The Continuation war I mean. The Hitler came to Finland asking for help. It was the choice of revenge. Might be that the Germans could've attacked us otherwise. But I doubt they wanted to risk Russia attacking them because of it.

Of course we weren't in a separate war. It all hang together with the war in central europe. In continuation war you could say we were an axis state, but not in the winter war. Still, we only did it because we had no other choice and we were no fascists like the rest of them.

But was allied to Germany in the Continuation war. There is still alot of speculation about a "seperate" war with Russia, eventhough Germans were on Finnish soil in the Lapland. It's an argument still wether Finland was a Axis state. I think that we were one.

No, under the winter war Finland was neutral but it got sympathies from USA, France and Briatin.

I'm so proud of every single person, who fight for a free country, Finland! My grandfathers did,(they are still alive:)! I don't hate hate all russians, 'cause my generation has nothing to do with the war.. But I do hate the people who started the war. (P.S Findland never technically attacted to anything, it just defended its self)

Good video, my only criticism is that it's hard to read the words as they quickly cross the screen - kept having to pause. The humiliation of the Red Army by Finland made Hitler believe they were a paper tiger and encouraged him to attack the Soviet Union.
